6. At Kentucky Horse Park (in Lexington—just over an hour south from Green Acres), families can get close to champion horses of the past and can even go horseback riding.
7. Since 1884, Louisville Slugger has put prime lumber in the hands of the greatest players of the game. A visit to the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory (in Louisville—1 ½ hours from Green Acres) shows you how the sport has changed a bit between then and now, but the “crack of the bat” remains one of the sporting world’s most thrilling moments. Make sure you don’t miss the factory tour—you even get a miniature souvenir bat at the end of the tour!

Rising Sun – Ohio County Tourism Bureau
Everybody knows they don’t know everything…
especially in a new place. In Rising Sun, we want
you to spend your time doing what you want,
when you want. Let’s say you like hot fudge
sundaes. Who doesn’t? But when you really
want one in Rising Sun, where do you go? Or if
you need aspirin, knitting needles or a burrito. It
doesn’t matter what you need, it matters if you
know where to get it.
