Dogs Are Only Permitted But Highly Discouraged.* Green Acres Canoe and Kayak Rental Dog Rules All dogs must be under the control of their owners at all times and on a leash 6'   or shorter.  No retractable leashes permitted.     All dogs must be current on all vaccinations, be wearing a current rabies tag and   a current dog license.     Owners must dispose of doggie waste in a proper receptacle ... Please help keep   our facility clean!     No aggressive dogs; dogs should be socialized with people and animals prior to   coming.     No dogs under six months of age.     Female dogs in heat are not permitted.     No dogs with open sores are permitted.     Dogs and people only - no other animals are permitted.     We reserve the right to remove any dog that our staff feels is posing a threat   to the safety of other dogs and/or guests.         * We discourage bringing dogs because it can make for an unpleasant day on the river if the dog does not respond well to riding in a canoe.  No dog can be expected to swim 8 miles!  Your dog will also be exposed to other dogs of canoeists and land owners along the river.  There are no guarantees that their dogs are as sociable as yours. If you choose to bring your dog please remember to NEVER tie it in the canoe.
